Great! I particularly liked 'nothing' - brilliant. How did you get the high shots eg of the Herdsman? If I had a digital camera I would take some more houses - from the Victorian mansions on Nob (ie Aylestone) Hill, to teeny 2up2downs in St James, to the new estates .... for your consideration. Wot no cathedral?

This is Hereford - without cliche, without stereotype, without blinkers. The city that we live in, work in, drive through depicted with honesty and courage. A new way of seeing our familiar landscape. Thought-provoking, challenging and visually stimulating.

hullo chris! despite having an Atari replica of a computer, I still managed to thoroughly enjoy your images, which go against the 'norm' Tourism Agency pap we normally see representing Hereford. This is the Hereford we all know and...urm...love!!! Perhaps for future images you could include people: I believe it is the people who inhabit this city that make Hereford what it is today. Great work Chris! Abby :)

Great photos Chris. I like the different angles you use to present everyday buildings in a new light. Lots of humour in there too, I especially liked the traffic jam on Newmarket Street. A well designed and effective site. Good luck with it.

Hereford is full of architectural gems, but they tend to be tucked away unnoticed. It always amazes me that almost everyone walks by the cathedral without stopping to take in the vastness of it's visuality. Little wonder then, that hidden treasures, like the 17th Century balconied Apothecary's Shop, slap bang at the top of the high street, is largely ignored by the crowd.
We are always adding examples to our Bed and Breakfast Hereford website.
My suggestion is to do the equivalent of stopping to smell the flowers, which is to stop and look up. It's above the usual eyeline that these treasures lurk, all over Hereford.
Three Park Street B&B.
